Our Colorado Guided Waterfowl Hunts
Major League Hunts offers guided duck and goose hunts across Colorado’s Front Range and Eastern Plains. Our waterfowl season runs from early fall ducks and geese through the winter migration, with spring snow goose conservation hunts extending the season even further.
We hunt a mix of private agricultural fields and water, giving us options as weather, migration and bird activity change throughout the season.
Whether you’ve hunted waterfowl for years or this is your first guided hunt, our goal is pretty simple: put in the work, hunt good ground, and give you a day in the field we’d want to hunt ourselves.
Our standard guided hunts are half-day hunts and conclude at noon. If your group has not been successful by then, the hunt may be extended when conditions and guide availability allow.
Please review our Waterfowl Hunting Safety and Policies for details on hunt extensions and other important information before your hunt.
Why Choose Major League Hunts for a Guided Waterfowl Hunt?
We’re waterfowl hunters first.
Our guides bring years of experience hunting Colorado’s Front Range and Eastern Plains, and we’ve built access to private fields and water that gives us different options throughout the season.
What you can expect from us:
- Not just another guided hunt — we pride ourselves on the relationships and friendships built in the field
- Quality decoys and proven hunting setups
- Smaller groups and a more personal hunt
- Experienced local waterfowl guides
- Straightforward communication before and during your hunt
No guide can control the weather or the migration. What we can control is how hard we prepare, the quality of our equipment and properties, and how you’re treated when you hunt with us.
Guided Goose Hunts
Colorado’s Front Range is well known for wintering Canada geese, and field hunting is a big part of what we do.
Our guided goose hunts take place on private agricultural ground where geese are actively feeding. Depending on the field and conditions, we use large spreads of full-body decoys, silhouettes and shells, with many setups running 500 decoys or more.
Weather, migration and hunting pressure can change things quickly, so our guides stay on top of bird movement throughout the season and adjust accordingly.

Guided Snow Goose Hunts
Snow geese can be part of our season well before the spring Conservation Order begins.
During Colorado’s regular waterfowl season, migrating snow geese and Ross’s geese can provide opportunities to combine light geese with our regular goose hunts. When bird numbers and conditions line up, these combination hunts give hunters a chance to target both Canada geese and light geese during the same trip.
After the regular season ends, we shift our focus to dedicated spring snow goose conservation hunts on private agricultural fields across Colorado’s Eastern Plains.
Spring hunts are a different style of waterfowl hunting. Large decoy spreads, electronic callers and concealed field setups are used to work migrating snow geese and Ross’s geese as they move north.
Colorado’s Light Goose Conservation Order provides an extended season and allows additional hunting methods specifically intended to help manage abundant light-goose populations.
Whether you’re looking to add snow geese to a regular-season hunt or experience the spring migration, we offer opportunities during both portions of the season.

Guided Duck Hunts
Our guided Colorado duck hunts offer a different kind of waterfowl experience.
Cold weather is often when Colorado duck hunting gets interesting. We use ice eaters on select ponds to maintain open water when temperatures drop, giving us additional options later in the season.
We also offer evening field duck hunts when conditions are right. These hunts are set up in fields that are known evening feeding areas for mallards and can provide a completely different experience from hunting over water. Evening field hunts are a popular add-on option for clients looking to make a full day of their trip.
We hunt private water that can include ponds, rivers and warm-water sloughs across the Front Range and Eastern Plains. Early in the season, that can mean teal and other early migrants. As winter sets in, mallards, pintails and a variety of diving ducks become part of the mix.
Duck hunts are fully guided, with decoys, calling and hunt setup handled by our team.
