Duck hunting can change quickly as water conditions, weather, and migration shift through the season. We use a mix of productive water and field locations, adapting our approach as birds move and different habitats become more important.
From early-season teal to late-season mallards and divers, our goal is to put hunters in the right type of habitat for the conditions and create a quality hunt without overcomplicating the experience.

Evening Field Duck Hunts
We also offer evening field duck hunts when conditions are right.
These hunts are set up in fields that are known evening feeding areas for mallards and can provide a completely different experience from hunting over water.

How We Hunt
We don’t rely on one property or one setup throughout the season.
Our guides monitor current conditions and bird activity and choose locations based on where we believe hunters have the best opportunity at that time.
That may mean hunting open water early in the season, changing locations as birds respond to hunting pressure, or focusing on warm-water and managed open-water properties as temperatures drop.

What to Expect
Major League Hunts handles the preparation that goes into your guided hunt, including scouting, private-property access, blinds, decoys, and the hunt setup.
Guided duck hunts begin at first light and end at noon, unless otherwise noted.
Before arriving, hunters should be prepared with their personal hunting equipment, appropriate clothing, ammunition, and all required Colorado and federal licenses and stamps.
Because conditions can change throughout the season, the exact location and setup may vary from one hunt to the next. However, our goal stays the same: put you in a quality hunting situation and provide an enjoyable day in the field.
